Ms. Brandt is Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Ticaret Securities. She has over 15 years of international experience as a financial journalist, investor and foreign policy expert. She previously represented the German Marshall Fund of the United States in Turkey. Ms. Brandt held many senior level journalist positions including Editor of the Wall Street Journal Europe Editorial Page in the early 1990s. Ms. Brandt is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Pieter Vincenz van der Byl
Managing Director
Pieter Vincenz van der Byl is managing director and a member of the Board of Directors of Ticaret Securities. Mr. Van der Byl worked from January 2004 to May 2008 at Gabelli Asset Management in London as equity research analyst for special situations in Europe. From October 2005 onwards he was responsible for the non-US global investments of the Gabelli Merger Arbitrage Funds. Mr. Van der Byl holds a MA (Hon) in Finance and Economics from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.
Aydos Özel
Fund Manager
Aydos Özel is currently the fund manager of Ticaret Securities and has eight years of Turkish and international markets experience. Prior to Ticaret, Mr. Özel managed the HSBC Global Investment Fund, investing in Turkish equities and fixed income. At HSBC he was also a manager of its Turkish market mutual and protected funds. Mr. Özel worked at Ticaret Securities and BBF Partners, a merchant bank, as a proprietary portfolio manager. Mr. Özel holds B.A in Economics from the Sabancı University, Istanbul.
Doğu Akbulut
CFO
Mr. Akbulut is a seasoned financier in the banking sector with 19 years of experience with Turk Ticaret Bankası AS. He held the internal auditor position early in his career and in 1993 became vice president of the information and financial analysis department. Between 1996 and 2003, Mr. Akbulut worked as president in that same department and was responsible for evaluation of credit proposals’ in compliance with related legislations and bank policies, preparing reports according to financial analysis and credit information. Mr. Akbulut was also the executive board member of Finansal Kıralama AS from 1999 to 2003.
Nihan Kuralp
Market Analyst
Nihan Kuralp is the market analyst of Ticaret Securities and has fifteen years of Turkish fixed income and money market experience. Prior to Ticaret, she worked on the fixed income, money market and derivatives desks at Türk Ticaret Bank and Evgin Securities. Ms. Kuralp holds B.A in Economics and M.A in Capital Markets from Istanbul University.
Bora Atılganoğlu
Technical Analyst
Bora Atılganoğlu is the technical analyst of Ticaret Securities and has ten years of Turkish equity market experience. Prior to Ticaret, Mr. Atılganoğlu worked as an equity trader at Bayındır Securities, a local brokerage. Mr. Atılganoğlu is experienced in mathematical trading models and technical analysis. Mr. Atilganoğlu holds a B.A. in Statistics from the Yıldız University, Istanbul.
